The Parked Kitchen
Justin White is a restaurant owner/chef who wanted to start Latin infused restaurant since he was a youngster. Justin started out with a summer job as a dishwasher at a local restaurant in Birmingham. There he just fell in love with the restaurant culture. This caused him to continue to work in restaurants all across Birmingham, from washing dishes, to cooking, and even managing. Justin was a manager in the Jim and Nick’s restaurant chain for about 11 years.
While living in Destin, FL for a little while, Justin and his wife came back to Birmingham to visit one Thanksgiving and fell in love with the new Railroad Park location. He originally wanted to open a food truck but after reviewing the steps required, Justin soon realized a restaurant would be easier to start. He did not have all of the initial capital needed to open a restaurant on his own but his father-in-law saw his dream and decided to invest. The Parked Kitchen is a realization of Justin’s dream. The Parked Kitchen is right across the street from Railroad Park and offers a variety of gourmet meals with a southern flare and Latin inspiration.
Justin is very passionate about Latin food and their cooking techniques, especially their healthy dietary aspect. Not only is The Parked Kitchen a healthy, delicious place to eat, the restaurant is also environmentally savvy. All of the to-go containers are also biodegradable and compostable. This is a great local, Birmingham restaurant to visit while exploring downtown.
The Parked Kitchen uses Delect to offer mobile payments, rewards, loyalty points, and market to customers directly on their mobile phones. On any given day customers can be informed of specials happening in the restaurant base on their eating preferences and previous visits.
